Judea and Samaria

The freeze follows a “situational assessment” in the wake of Monday’s deadly shooting in western Samaria.
Hamas said the attack, in which three Israelis were killed, was carried out jointly with Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.
The increased security surrounding the right-wing Cabinet minister followed a deadly terror shooting near Bezalel Smotrich’s home in Kedumim.
Israel’s security establishment believes that the policy bolsters deterrence.
The group was responsible for planting explosives near Israeli forces, according to the military.
“Palestinian terrorism will not be tolerated, and Jewish blood will not be spilled in vain,” the Israeli defense minister said at the site of Monday’s deadly shooting.
Three terrorists were eliminated in total and 18 suspects arrested during counter-terror operations across Judea and Samaria.
Israel is engaged in “intense and wide-ranging combat against terrorism in Judea and Samaria,” said IDF Chief of Staff. Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi.
“The prime minister approved the operations to apprehend the terrorists and bring them to justice,” his office says after deadly attack.
“We will find the abhorrent murderers and settle accounts with them and with all those who aided them. No one will get away,” the prime minister said.
Eight others were wounded when a bus and vehicles were targeted by terrorists adjacent to Al-Funduq.
No casualties were reported in the incident • Israeli forces were hunting for the assailant.
