Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calls on Blue and White leader Benny Gantz to meet him “at any hour today” to discuss the possibility of forming a “broad unity government.”
“We must keep the State of Israel above political disputes and make every effort to ensure that support for Israel does not become a political issue,” said Israeli President Reuven Rivlin.
The Democratic governor talked about fighting anti-Semitism, and the alliance between the Jewish state and the Empire State.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will now have until May 29 to form a government, or another party will be given the opportunity.

The right-wing bloc is expected to consist of the Likud, Kulanu, Yisrael Beiteinu, Shas and United Torah Judaism parties—a 65-seat majority in the 120-seat Knesset.
Once Benjamin Netanyahu is selected, he will have 28 days to form a unity government. A 14-day extension can be granted, if necessary.
