A “temporary security cordon” was imposed on Madama, a Palestinian village near Nablus, as soldiers searched for the assailant.
“Judea and Samaria are central to Jewish history and faith,” stated David Livingston, a Republican state representative. “This resolution affirms what is true and rejects language created to deny it.”
The 16 families “are here to stay,” pledges Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan.

“This is our land. We are not here as guests; we are not here temporarily,” Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana said at the inauguration ceremony.
