The purchasers, Bruce and Robbi Toll of Philadelphia, claimed that they didn’t know the painting was stolen when they bought it for $800,000.
Expected to be signed into law, it will also establish a commission to study best practices for teaching such subjects in New Hampshire public schools.
“What I interpreted as a post that promoted tolerance was taken in a completely different manner,” said Kaylynn Williford.
It will pay tribute to the 65,000 Austrian Jews killed by the Nazis during World War II.
The platform has incorporated extremist posts, including far-right ideologies of fascism, racism, chauvinism, nativism and xenophobia.
A red inverted triangle was used by the Nazis to identify political enemies, including Communists, liberals, Social Democrats and Freemasons.
Behind the now broken fountain, which can be used as a hand-washing station, is a mosaic and list of 12 Jews who died in the Shoah.
“We condemn such bigotry and violence, which has no place anywhere in America,” said the Gordon JCC.
