While IHRA legislation sits in the Pennsylvania House, legal consequences languish when letters and calls for dialogue go unheeded.
The head of the state-funded institution said Germany is supporting Israel because of the Holocaust.
“We thank Costa Rica for joining the group of countries in the international community that support morality and combat discrimination,” stated Gilbert Meltzer, president of the Costa Rican Jewish Community.
“From schools to sanitation to police, our administration will never allow antisemitism, or any other form of hate, to persist,” stated Eric Adams, the mayor of New York City.
“This is more talk and no real actions to address antisemitism on campus,” Ari Shrage, co-founder of the Columbia Jewish Alumni Association, told JNS.
The Democratic legislator said the delay is “unacceptable,” especially “in light of the rise in antisemitic incidents both in New Jersey and nationwide.”
“No more delays,” the congressman told JNS. “Our Jewish communities deserve better.”
Eric Adams signed an executive order to that effect on Sunday at Tribeca Synagogue, alongside Dr. Phil.
Israel’s president reminded the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance that its antisemitism definition includes rejecting Jewish sovereignty.
“No one should be unsafe in the classroom or on campus or feel targeted because of their religion or heritage,” said Glenn Youngkin.
