Leaving Jews in jail while Palestinian terrorists return to their families is an “injustice,” wrote 55 lawmakers from all coalition parties. MK Gilad Kariv said the demand “fits our enemies,” calling on the Israeli president to reject it.
“Even those who believe we were forced to sign this agreement should not celebrate it,” Likud’s Amit Halevi said.
“This morning, I woke up to the news that the terrorist who murdered my husband was released,” said Knesset member Limor Son Har-Melech.

“Every time the Palestinian Authority was given access to weapons, they were eventually used against Israelis,” the coalition lawmakers said.
“Only when Jewish children are playing in the Strip will the Nukhba terrorists realize that they have lost,” said MK Zvi Sukkot.
Shalom Har-Melech, 25, from Homesh, was shot to death while driving in Samaria. His wife, Limor, who was in the car, survived.
“They are just waiting for the correct moment to strike at the rest of the Israeli populace,” said Limor Son Har-Melech.
A charity associated with the majority Arab party has been accused of being a Hamas front.
The proposed law would ban the display of enemy flags and eject terror-supporting students from academic institutions.
Limor Son Har-Melech also accused border policemen of violating her parliamentary immunity at the demonstration in Samaria.
Otzma Yehudit lawmaker Limor Son Har-Melech said the incident occurred while being physically removed from a demonstration against the razing of a Jewish-owned property in Samaria.
