Alex Soros, chair of the board of directors for the Open Society Foundations founded by his father, George Soros, may have found someone special to help him rule his progressive politics philanthropic empire—a fellow insider in the Democratic Party.

On Wednesday, Soros, 38, posted to Instagram a photo of himself with Huma Abedin, 47, the former top aide to former Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and ex-wife of former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.)

The image shows Soros with his arm around Abedin as both sit smiling in a restaurant booth, purportedly in Paris. Red roses, jewelry boxes and a sliced loaf of bread sit on the table in front of them.

Weiner and Abedin divorced in 2017. He was released from jail in Feb. 2019 after serving 15 months for sending sexually explicit images to a minor. Abedin’s new relationship with Soros is purportedly her first since splitting with the disgraced politician.

Soros released a statement on Jan. 31 defending his organization from regular accusations of supporting antisemitism.
