Omar to host fundraiser with CAIR-affiliated political action committee

It comes one day after Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) spoke at the CAIR Greater Los Angeles’ fourth annual Valley Banquet.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), as part of a series of addressing fundraisers for groups that promote Islamic extremism, is scheduled to appear at a fundraiser on Sunday for a political action committee affiliated with the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).

The private event in California is hosted by CAIR-CA PAC and will only allow the first 100 confirmed guests to attend, according to a screenshot of the meet-and-greet invite acquired by The Washington Free Beacon.

“CAIR has a long history of being a vicious anti-Semitic Israel-hating group. They irrationally condemn the Jewish state, but never condemn the murderous actions of Hamas or Syria, or the Palestinian dictator [Mahmoud] Abbas,” Zionist Organization of America national president Mort Klein previously told JNS. “By calling for the genocide of Israel, they join the moral horrors of the Nazis and Stalin, without their power, thank G-d.”

On Saturday, Omar spoke at the CAIR Greater Los Angeles’ fourth annual Valley Banquet. The chapter’s director, Hussam Ayloush, posted on Twitter in November that “Iran’s regime calling Israel a ‘cancerous tumor’ is like the pot calling the kettle black. All the people of that region will be better off once both murderous regimes are terminated.”

In his tweet, Ayloush linked to an article from Daily Sabah of Iranian leader Hassan Rouhani calling Israel a “cancerous tumor.”

In Tampa Bay last month, Omar addressed an Islamic Relief event for assisting Yemen. The United States designated the organization as a terrorist entity in 2004 because it provided funding to Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. (In 2014, the Obama administration has been reported to have provided $200,000 to Islamic Relief in which the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform initiated an investigation in October.)

Omar’s address on Sunday comes as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee kicks off its annual three-day policy conference in Washington, D.C.

Last month, Omar accused the largest pro-Israel lobbying organization of paying members of Congress to back Israel, saying it was “all about the Benjamins.”

“This could have been the greatest terrorist tragedy in America since 9/11,” Eric Fingerhut, president and CEO of the Jewish Federations of North America, told JNS.
The outcomes of the primaries show that “being pro-America, pro-Israel is good policy and good politics,” the Republican Jewish Coalition told JNS.
The memo calls on the party to be aware of “the strategic goal of groypers across the nation” to take over the Republican party from within.
The New York City mayor said that he is “grateful that Leqaa has been released this evening from ICE custody after more than a year in detention for speaking up for Palestinian rights.”
The co-author of the K-12 law told JNS that “this attempt to undermine crucial safety protections for Jewish children at a time when antisemitic hate and violence is rampant and rising is breathtaking.”
The measure has drawn opposition from civil-liberties groups, including the state’s ACLU.
