New website lists Israeli professors who support BDS, oppose IDF service

Im Tirtzu says it launched the site to show that the delegitimization campaign against the Jewish state “is often created, bolstered and spearheaded by Israelis themselves.”

A new English-language website, launched by the NGO Im Tirtzu, provides the names Israeli professors involved in the BDS movement and other activities critical of the state.

“Know the Anti-Israel Israeli Professor” lists 150 academics who accuse the Israel Defense Forces of war crimes, for example, and calls on fellow Israelis to refuse military service.

According to Im Tirtzu, among the criteria for inclusion are promotion of international pressure on Israel and membership in an organization engaged in activities deemed “anti-Israel.”

Im Tirtzu launched a similar Hebrew website in May 2019, which listed dozens of Israeli academics who teach at Israeli universities. The new website includes Israeli professors who teach abroad.

The stated mission of the website “is to create an understanding that the international BDS and delegitimization phenomenon against Israel does not exist in a vacuum; rather, it is often created, bolstered and spearheaded by Israelis themselves. Radical Israeli academics are often at the forefront of the boycott and delegitimization campaigns against Israel. By virtue of being Israeli, these radical professors are viewed by the outside observer as neutral and credible authorities on matters concerning Israel. This unearned credibility is then used by Israel-haters worldwide to attack Israel.”

“If the war continues on schedule, more or less six to eight weeks, then the U.S. has succeeded beyond the dreams of war planners,” he said. “People don’t appreciate just how great this war is going.”

Two suspects were arrested on suspicion of disseminating materials glorifying terrorism.
The raid follows Sunday’s attacks on Iran’s Defense and Intelligence ministries, the IRGC Air Force and Internal Security Forces.
“The disciplinary process before the Bureau is ongoing and remains confidential. No decisions have been taken, and no weight should be given to recent media speculation,” an internal ICC memo said.

At some point there will be a clear signal for the Iranian people “to come out,” Adm. Brad Cooper adds.
The U.S. president said the contacts were “in depth, detailed, and constructive,” and could lead to a “complete and total resolution” of the conflict.
