The speed of the U.S. response to Israeli needs reflects a “sense of urgency across not just this building, but across the entire U.S. federal government, that’s coming from the president on down,” said a Pentagon official.
“The atmosphere is very tense and scary,” a Jewish mother told JNS. “I don’t feel safe. It’s really heartbreaking.”
The 320 anti-Jewish incidents from Oct. 7 to Oct. 16 are up from 47 during the same period in 2022, though these numbers almost certainly undercount anti-Jewish incidents.
“My administration will continue to fight antisemitism and Islamophobia,” said U.S. President Joe Biden.
