Houthis

“Taking out their leaders is not enough to stop the Houthi threat,” Maj. (res.) Alexander Grinberg told JNS. “The Houthis are not Hezbollah.”
The attack triggered air-raid sirens in the southern Negev and Arava regions.
“We promised more blows, and today we dealt another painful strike to the Houthi terrorist organization in Yemen,” said Defense Minister Israel Katz.
No reports of damage or injuries from either incident • Followed three downed UAVs the day before, also sent from Yemen.
Two UAVs were downed in the southern Negev and the Arava. The third UAV’s location was not specified by the military.
Video appears to show the moment of impact. The airspace over Ramon was briefly shut down.
The cable failures occurred near Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and affected major systems such as SMW4 and IMEWE, which route internet traffic between Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
Over the past week, the Israeli Air Force downed five unmanned aerial vehicles and two surface-to-surface missiles.
“The Houthis are firing missiles at Israel again. A plague of darkness, a plague of the firstborn— we will complete all ten plagues,” said the Israeli defense minister.
Two missiles, one launched in the morning and another in the evening, were intercepted, with no damage or injuries reported.
The Houthis reportedly instructed their most senior members not to gather in “government” buildings or visit public places, amid fears of additional IDF strikes.
No sirens sounded as the UAV did not cross into Israeli territory. Earlier in the day, two missiles launched from Yemen at the Jewish state fell in Saudi Arabia.
