(September 19, 2019 / JNS) A senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) figure expressed concern on Wednesday that the results of Israel’s election would lead to the resumption of talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Arutz Sheva reported on Thursday.
“We are closely monitoring any development in the [election] results in Israel,” said PIJ Deputy Secretary General Muhammad al-Hind, according to the report.
“Palestinian resistance organizations in the Gaza Strip are constantly improving their military capabilities based on lessons learned from the clashes with Israel,” he added.
“The Palestinian resistance organizations are able to produce weapons despite the siege on the Gaza Strip and they have the ability to prevent Israel from achieving its objectives. We trust the Palestinians worldwide to fight Israel,” said al-Hindi.
Meanwhile, seven people were injured in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday when three rockets fired at Israel from Gaza landed in the Hamas-controlled enclave.
