Israeli forces arrested several Hamas terrorists during an overnight operation in southern Syria on Wednesday, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

Reserve troops from the 3rd Alexandroni Brigade, operating under the command of the 210th Division—which is responsible for the Syrian front—conducted the raid in the area of Beit Jenn, according to the military.

The IDF stated that the operation was based on intelligence gathered in recent weeks and that the terrorists had been attempting to carry out multiple terrorist plots against Israeli citizens and IDF forces in Syria.

Weapons and ammunition were also confiscated by Israeli forces.

On Sunday, the IDF targeted a Hamas terrorist in southern Syria in a drone strike, according to the military.

The strike occurred in the area of Mazraat Beit Jinn, east of Mount Hermon and just beyond the expanded buffer zone held by Israel.

On June 3, terrorists in southern Syria fired two rockets at the Israeli Golan Heights. Both projectiles struck open areas in the southern Golan, causing no injuries or damage, according to the IDF. It was the first rocket attack from Syria since May 2024.
