Visitors to a museum in Birzeit, a Palestinian Christian town north of Ramallah in the central West Bank, can take part in a number of interactive stories. One of them is titled “The Intifada,” the Palestinian term for waves of violence and terror against Israel.

Nasri Shtayyeh, director of the information and communication technology Unit at the Palestinian Museum, noted that accessing the interactive story requires the visitor to “respond” to the “environment of the intifada that could contain throwing rocks,” according to a report by Palestinian Media Watch.

In a broadcast on official P.A. TV on Aug. 24, the female host of the show can be seen tossing virtual rocks. Shtayyeh said, “It’s really nice, and it’s interactive.”

The British Council was one of the museum’s early supporters and was still sponsoring initiatives at the museum as late as 2021, according to the report.

According to its website, the Palestinian Museum is a “Swiss-registered non-governmental association with a branch in Palestine” and “an independent institution with no political affiliations.”

The attacks, which followed drone strikes and shelling by the terrorists, came after Israel’s targeted killing of a senior commander in Beirut.
