The Israel Air Force struck several targets in the Gaza Strip on Friday morning after a rocket fired from Gaza on Thursday night hit a Chabad-Lubavitch yeshivah in Sderot.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson’s Unit, targets hit included “terror infrastructure and military compounds,” as well as a complex used by Hamas’s naval forces.

“The IDF will continue to act against attempts to harm Israeli citizens and sees the Hamas terrorist organization as responsible for all actions in and from the Gaza Strip,” said the IDF spokesperson, a statement that has been repeated several times in recent weeks in connection with an array of attacks from Gaza.

Expecting further attacks, Hamas has reportedly ordered all active military and training sites to be evacuated.

The terror group “continues to operate in a manner that endangers international forces and harms U.N. personnel operating in the area,” the IDF said.
More than 70 sites hit in 24 hours, including launchers, UAV facilities and air defense systems.
“IDF troops in the Southern Command remain deployed in accordance with the ceasefire agreement,” the military said.
The Israeli defense minister said the IDF would control the area of Southern Lebanon up to the Litani River.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog highlighted concerns over the safety and security of Christian communities in the Middle East.
