Haley Joel Osment, an actor best known for his role in 1999’s The Sixth Sense, apologized after being recorded using an antisemitic slur during his arrest at a California ski resort earlier this month.

“What came out of my mouth was nonsensical garbage,” he told the New York Post. “I’ve let the Jewish community down, and it devastates me.”

In bodycam footage obtained by the Post, Osment referred to police officers as “Nazis” and called one a “fucking k*ke” during his arrest on April 8. He has been charged with public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.

“I’m absolutely horrified by my behavior,” he told the Post. “Had I known I used this disgraceful language in the throes of a blackout, I would have spoken up sooner.”
