EL AL Israel Airlines has introduced a new program called EL AL Young, designed for young travelers. The initiative features a dedicated app and exclusive benefits within the Matmid Frequent Flyer Program, tailored for children and teens ages 2 to 18.

The interactive app serves as a digital playground where young passengers can watch videos, play games, and explore the world of aviation, all while earning loyalty points every time they fly with EL AL.

“It is a game-changer for family travel, while making every journey more fun and engaging,” said Nadav Hanin, vice president of marketing and digital at EL AL Airlines. “With this program, EL AL Airlines is inspiring the next generation of travelers by allowing them to earn their own points, explore Youth Mode on the app, and enjoy more independence and excitement when traveling. Family travel has always been at the heart of our business.”

To participate, parents can register their children for EL AL Young starting at age 2, where youth travelers will:

  • Gain access to a curated “Youth Mode” in the EL AL app that is filled with content
  • Play games while using the app and in-flight
  • Earn points by flying on EL AL or Sundor airlines

Turning every journey into a rewarding adventure, young travelers using the app will earn points that can be redeemed for rewards, including seat upgrades and free checked baggage; booking award tickets with friends; and buying duty-free snacks onboard. In the coming months, EL AL will launch new promotions on the app that will help travelers earn more points and save on fares.

Parents can sign up their children for free and can view their children’s points through each participant’s dedicated account. Points accrued will be valid until age 21.
