“The study of anti-Semitism has taught us a lot of things ... if you allow it space to grow, it will metastasize. It is a resilient cancer in our society,” said Imran Ahmed, CEO of the Center to Counter Digital Hate.

Jewish politicians and organizations responded by pointing out that these types of incidents are why the administration must name an anti-Semitism envoy immediately.
District Attorney Eric Gonzalez named the defendants: Daniel Shaukat, 20, of Bensonhurst; Haider Anjam, 21, of Midwood; and Ashan Azad 19, also of Midwood.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken highlighted the global challenges for democracy, the plight of political prisoners around the world and the importance of combating anti-Semitism in all of its forms.
John Earnest, 19 at the time, called 911 and said he committed the act because Jews were trying to “destroy all white people.”
