The company “needs to explain itself and this astonishing decision,“ says former Likud Knesset member Anat Berko.
Nevertheless, Anuradha Mittal has posted anti-Israel content and support for the BDS movement on her personal Twitter account, including calling for the U.S. government to end aid to Israel and supporting Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and her anti-Semitic rhetoric.
Unilever’s North American headquarters are in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., and employs 1,600 people.
It kicked off a global advocacy effort that features an online campaign urging people to call on Ben & Jerry’s and its parent company, Unilever, not to align with the BDS hate movement targeting Israel.
