James Vincent, 44, was convicted following a jury trial in late October of strangulation and attempted second-degree assault for attacking Rabbi Menachem Moskowitz, 52, on April 21, 2018.
Christopher Stephen Brown, 37, allegedly sent a message to Chabad via its website on Dec. 2, calling for the death of all Jews and threatening to kill members of the beit din, a Jewish rabbinical court.
Of the nearly 500 hate crimes reported in the city as of November, some 180 were anti-Semitic in nature.
Both men, who are incarcerated at Thompson Penitentiary in Illinois, were part of a white-supremacist group, the Valhalla Bound Skinheads.
Michael Mostyn, CEO of B’nai Brith Canada, which provided a victim-impact statement in the case, said “they caused grave alarm with their hateful sentiments.”

NYPD’s Crime Stoppers is offering a $3,500 reward for information leading to the woman’s arrest.
“Officers observed a 23-year-old male, dressed in traditional Jewish garb/attire, with a laceration to the head,” said a police spokeswoman.
The state will allocate $25 million to help nonprofits at risk of attack, including day-care centers, day camps and community centers.
