An Iranian drone scored a direct hit on a home in the northern Israeli town of Beit She’an on Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed. The house sustained significant damage, but no injuries were reported.

It was the first time since the launch of “Operation Rising Lion” on June 13 that an Iranian UAV succeeded in penetrating Israeli air defenses.

In simultaneous incidents, the Israeli Air Force intercepted another Iranian drone over the Arava region. A separate drone launched from Iran crashed in an open area of the southern Negev after what appeared to be unsuccessful interception attempts. A third drone, en route to the southernmost city of Eilat, was downed by Israeli forces.

Earlier Saturday, an Iranian drone triggered air raid sirens in the areas of Kibbutz Ein Zivan, Moshav Alonei Habashan and Kibbutz Ortal—communities located in the Israeli Golan Heights—before crashing in an open area without causing damage.

Approximately an hour later, the Israeli Air Force intercepted a UAV near Moshav Ramat Magshimim, also in the Golan Heights.

Around the same time, another drone launched from Iran was intercepted by the IAF after setting off sirens across the Beit She’an Valley, Samaria, Nahal Iron, aka Wadi Ara, and the Jordan Valley.

Overnight Friday, Israeli air defenses intercepted some 40 Iranian drones, according to the military.

Over the past eight days, Iran has launched more than 470 UAVs at Israel.
