A pair of government-sponsored flights departed on Saturday, with other private endeavors underway.
“It could take a few days to get everyone out due to very limited flights and ships and a very high demand,” Ambassador Mike Huckabee said.
Implemented changes aim to “ensure we are properly screening every single person attempting to visit our country.”
The embassy “is working on evacuation flights and cruise ship departures,” stated Mike Huckabee, Washington’s ambassador to Jerusalem.
The letters “contain references to Gaza, Israel or events in which Jewish people were killed or otherwise attacked,” the Justice Department stated.
Foggy Bottom said it is forming a Middle East task force but isn’t ready to announce potential evacuation plans.
The temporary closure, prompted by security concerns, is in accordance with guidance from the IDF’s Home Front Command.
“He will no longer be on the joint staff while the matter is being investigated,” a Pentagon official told JNS of Col. Nathan McCormack.
“If this is what he’s publicly sharing, who knows what he’s saying behind closed doors,” a Pentagon contractor, who has interacted with Col. Nathan McCormack, told JNS.
“No Democrat occupying the White House in the foreseeable future can unreservedly support Israel in its regional relations,” Henry Olsen, of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, told JNS.
Iran’s “concessions” would “be like Israel allowing Iran to get a free punch in a fist fight,” Brian Carter, of the American Enterprise Institute, told JNS.
A State Department official said Iran’s actions that led to the reprimand “are hardly the actions of a state seeking to quell doubts about its intentions.”
