The Iran-backed Kata’ib Hezbollah militia claimed responsibility for the shelling of the U.S. embassy compound in Baghdad, stating that the attacks would continue until all coalition forces withdraw from the country.
The IDF division, which includes the commando brigade dismantling a Hamas stronghold, will fight “for as long as it takes,” said IDF Brig. Gen. Dan Goldfus.
“We are refugees in our own country. Everything is on hold,” said Adele Raemer, a retired teacher from Kibbutz Nirim in the south.
The Israeli military killed senior Hamas intelligence operatives in a strike on a central command center.
The Israeli prime minister spoke shortly after an Israeli farmer was killed by an anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon.
