Footage shows officers in protective masks chasing the van that carried the body, with the officers heard shouting at dozens of people marching behind it to get out of the street and onto the sidewalk.
The governor tweeted that “there were quite a number of people protesting by carrying signs filled with hate. I’ll defend to the death their right to be wrong and to say it out loud. But if you look at the facts, the experts are trying to protect them.”
Mayor Martin “Modey” Hicks said, “I’ve told businesses to call 911 if State Police show up to their place. We are going to stop Lujan Grisham and her Gestapo,” referring Nazi Germany’s secret police.
“People don’t realize how many Holocaust survivors are still here, living on their street,” said Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Fleur Hasson-Nahoum. “It is a wonderful connection to the generations to see them face to face.”
Nicollet Public School Superintendent Dennis Morrow assigned each of the students a 10-page research paper on “Hitler’s final solution at Auschwitz” and “medical experiments at Auschwitz.”
Presented in cooperation with Christian Friends of Yad Vashem, the program began with a live shot from the “Harp Bridge” at the entrance to Jerusalem as the nationwide siren sounded, bringing traffic to a stop.
The “NeverMeansNever” project continues the tradition of paying tribute to the victims, honoring the survivors and committing to the global fight against anti-Semitism, hatred and intolerance.

At 96, she has eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is a reminder that a strong legacy will live on after the Holocaust.
The one-year graduate program brings students from all over the world who have developed original ways to honor the memory of the Shoah.
