“Our children are not born with hate in their hearts, and by providing educators with the tools they need to teach about the Holocaust, we can ensure they never learn it,” said Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.).
The official signing, to occur in a private ceremony because of the coronavirus pandemic, happens to come during Jewish American Heritage Month.

Next they will go before the full Senate for final passage.

“It has become painfully clear that more must be done to educate Americans about the horrors of the Holocaust and the threat posed to the Jewish community through the use of Nazi hate symbols,” said Soifer.
The legislation, which comes in Jewish American Heritage Month, would expand the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum’s education programming to teachers nationwide.
