IAF fighter jets carried out a “targeted strike” in Dahiyeh, a Hezbollah stronghold in south Beirut.
“We do not wait for a threat; we anticipate it. Everywhere, in every sector, at any time,” the prime minister said.
“We are preparing to strike terror targets in the Beqaa Valley in the near future,” the IDF spokesperson announced.
The so-called Generals’ Plan, crafted by IDF Maj. Gen. Giora Eiland, would see 300,000 civilians evacuated from northern Gaza, followed by a full blockade of the area.
The incident occurred at the entrance to the military facility.
The two also “discussed the wider regional situation and the threats posed by Iran and its proxies,” according to an Israeli statement.
“I can’t confirm it, nor can I deny it. We have one mission: to reach him—and we will,” said the IDF spokesperson.
The IDF warned civilians in South Lebanon to leave homes used by the Iranian-backed terror organization.
The monument is the first in the capital to commemorate both the victims of Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre and IDF soldiers who fell in the ensuing war.
“The price that Hezbollah is paying has increased, our attacks will increase,” said IDF chief Herzi Halevi during a visit to an IAF base.
The IDF’s’ achievements have been “extremely impressive,” said the defense minister.
“We will do everything necessary to fulfill the mission,” Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said.
