Inside Gaza: A soldier’s experience fighting Hamas

“The Quad” with guest Elkana Cohen

Israeli innovation envoy Fleur Hassan-Nahoum interviews commando soldier Elkana Cohen of the Israel Defense Forces, who details some of his battle experiences in the Gaza Strip in a new book, Oct. 7: The War Against Hamas Through the Eyes of an Israeli Commando Officer.

The text starts as a letter to his wife when he couldn’t get or be in touch with her. It describes what he saw firsthand and how the Israeli military conducted itself when face-to-face with the enemy.

JNS TV show with Fleur Hassan-Nahoum (deputy mayor of Jerusalem), Emily Schrader (activist and journalist), Ashira Solomon (African-American Jew and political moderator) and Vivian Bercovici (former Canadian ambassador to Israel).
The trip underscores Israel’s growing diplomatic outreach in Latin America, the President’s Office said.
Sir Mark Rowley, head of the Metropolitan Police, requested an additional 300 officers to defend the community.
Troops opened fire to remove the danger. Several hits were reported.
The letter, whose author claimed to “work with Hezbollah,” ended with the words: “Kill and fumigate all Jews.”
The search is on-going, U.S. Africa Command said.
“This is not a protest. It is hatred,” said Israel’s Foreign Ministry.
