“If Harvard, or any institution for that matter, does not wish to comply with this basic legal obligation, the proper avenue for achieving this is simple: do not take federal financial assistance,” the lawmakers wrote.
“Our federal authorities must bring the full weight of our civil-rights laws to bear in examining this matter,” the Senate minority leader stated.
“With a $53.2 billion endowment, Harvard can fund its own chaos, but the Department of Homeland Security won’t,” a department press release stated.
University president Alan Garber called the government’s demands “unprecedented,” geared more to “intellectual conditions” than attempts to curb campus antisemitism.
Parents aren’t raising their kids to think Hamas is good. “They’re learning it in their classes,” Bari Weiss, editor of “The Free Press,” told attendees.
