“Gov. DeSantis and I unequivocally stand with the state of Israel, our one true friend, our most valued and trusted partner in the Middle East,” said Florida Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez.
“This attack was a campaign of pure cruelty. Not just hate, but cruelty,” the U.S. president said.
“Americans need to ensure their elected officials know that we have no patience for dithering in Washington,” said Pastor John Hagee, head of Christians United for Israel.
Leading progressive legislators temper their usual anti-Israel rhetoric while one kept quiet when questioned about the killing of infants.
“We are not here to analyze why. It’s not our mission. It’s not our task. It’s not our job,” said Rabbi Yosef Yeshaya Braun, a prominent Chabad rabbi. “Think good, and it will be good.”
“I can’t fathom the experiences that they’re going through right now. My heart just breaks,” Laura Fine, a state senator, told JNS.
Winston & Strawn stated that it is “outraged and deeply saddened by the violent attack on Israel over the weekend.”
“We did not move the carrier for Hamas. We moved the carrier to send a clear message of deterrence to other states or non-state actors that might seek to widen this war,” said Jake Sullivan, the U.S. national security adviser.
Hamas made the “critical miscalculation” that it would be “business as usual in Israel. Believe me, it is not,” the minister said.
Many celebrities and organizations have added their voices to the chorus of condemnation of Hamas and solidarity with Israel, though several have emphatically sided with the Gaza terrorist group.
Former U.S. Presidents Donald Trump and George W. Bush released statements on Saturday. Former President Jimmy Carter’s center commented on Sunday about the “targeting of Israeli and Palestinian civilians.”
“The terrorist actions of Hamas have no justification, no legitimacy and must be universally condemned,” the countries stated.
