The appeal includes an open letter addressed to Twitter CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey by a New York resident, the petition’s creator.
“The materials fail to adequately discuss anti-Semitism—and characterize American Jews only in the context of how some have secured white privilege, which is misleading and erases the experience of a significant part of our community, including Middle Eastern and North African Jews, as well of other Jews of Color,” said Sarah Levin, executive director of JIMENA.
Derrick Johnson, president of the NAACP, said Rodney Muhammad will meet with faith and community leaders in the coming weeks to “open a dialogue and continue the educational conversations.”
It had already demonetized his videos on its platform following his anti-Semitic tirade.
