“This is yet another example of Hamas’s cynical use of Gaza’s civilians and civilian establishments for terrorist activity and a gross violation of international law,” the IDF said.
There were no reports of injuries or damage in the attacks.
Some 100 operatives were killed within two hours.
“The war against terrorism is not just an Israeli one and it is not just in Gaza,” the Yesh Atid Party leader added.
The initiative was spearheaded by schools supported by the Yael Foundation.
The move comes amid intelligence reports that Israel’s recent military operations against Hamas are reaping rewards.
“To truly win, to achieve long-term victory, will be to have many residents living here,” Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said.
