Washington stated that the strike responds to Iran-backed militia attacks on U.S. forces in the region, including a drone strike that killed three soldiers in Jordan on Jan. 28.
IDF artillery units responded by opening fire at the source of the attacks in Southern Lebanon.
Amos Hochstein conveyed “signs” of a possible diplomatic solution that would include Hezbollah withdrawing terror forces from the border with Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces also struck more than 3,400 Hezbollah targets in Southern Lebanon, the military said.

More than 200 terrorists have been killed in Southern Lebanon, according to the Israeli military.
“How much Iran knew or didn’t know, we don’t know. But it really doesn’t matter, because Iran sponsors these groups,” Lloyd Austin said.
