“America’s new Golden Age begins now,” the Republican Jewish Coalition stated. “America is back.”
“This isn’t ‘peace through strength,’” Mort Klein, of ZOA, told JNS. “It is heartbreaking and infuriating and frightening that Israel’s government is agreeing to this deal.”
“She always talked about the day when she would finally hear the applause of Heaven for the life she lived. That day is today,” wrote her husband, Joshua Washington.
“Our hearts and prayers are with his wife—a native New Yorker—his entire family and the Jewish community who is grieving right now,” said New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
B’nai B’rith asked why the court hasn’t sought to arrest “the genocide-seeking rulers of Iran engineering atrocities, conflict and human misery throughout the region and beyond.”
“There’s not enough acknowledgment that having American hostages in Gaza and having American citizens murdered in Israel … is a national security threat for the United States,” Lihi Moskow said at the Jewish Federations General Assembly in Washington, D.C.
Gov. Wes Moore said the funds help in “getting convictions, closing cases and restoring trust between our communities and the forces sworn to protect them.”
“Our communities are in complete solidarity with the people of Israel and the IDF, as they work to defend themselves from these attacks, and we pray for their safety,” stated the Jewish Federations of North America.
He did so in light of a full-blown attack by Iran on Israel.
“I’m doing all I can to stop this administration intentionally ignoring the sanctions on Iran that the previous administration put in place,” Klein told JNS.
“The most important part of this is really speaking truth to power. It’s the opportunity in one week to engage not only with Israel’s friends but also its harshest critics,” said Daniel Mariaschin, CEO of B’nai B’rith International.
Ted Mitchell, president of the American Council on Education, felt confident that attendees “left better-equipped to take on the challenges to come.”
