Sami Zayn, one of World Wrestling Entertainment’s biggest stars (WWE), has generated a scandal due to his recent activity on social media.

Zayn (whose real name is Rami Sebai) is a Canadian wrestler of Syrian origin who is known for his strong stand against Israel.

Since Oct. 7, Zayn has “liked” some controversial tweets about Israel’s war with Hamas, including an article titled “Israel’s final solution for the Palestinians.”

Written by Pulitzer Prize winner Chris Hedges, the article compares Israel’s activities in Gaza to the Nazis’ during World War Two; claims that Israel killed some of its own citizens during the Oct. 7 massacre and ends with the sentence, “Israelis who cheer on the Palestinian nightmare will soon endure a nightmare of their own.”

The article’s featured image is the Star of David inside the Nazi Party flag. In addition, last Thursday Zayn supported a tweet by a user who shared an article and noted that the death of civilians in Gaza was “calculated and deliberate.”

Many wrestling fans sent angry letters to WWE and to its owner, TKO Group Holdings. It should be noted that TKO’s board of directors includes several prominent Jewish figures.

The TKO Group also owns Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), some of whose fighters have spoken out in an antisemitic manner since the Oct. 7 massacre.

The company has yet to condemn or sanction any of the individuals involved.

This article first appeared in Israel Hayom.

“At a time when some would isolate Israeli academia, UCLA has chosen collaboration,” Eveline Shekhman of the American Jewish Medical Association told JNS.
“The juxtaposition of us being at the United Nations, and all those people walking out while literally their employees helped to perpetuate Oct. 7 was put in a certain frame,” Rabbi Steven Burg of Aish told JNS.
“I want you to listen to my words carefully: One day, and it may not be far away, the Iranian people will be free. Their murderous regime will be toppled by its lies, by its corruption, by its cruelty,” the Israeli prime minister said.
