The Litvins are planning to provide two courses: One is a primer on Judaism, and the other will be a detailed class on what constitutes anti-Semitism and how to identify it.
The settlement includes compensation for the surgeon’s alienation and shields him from further retaliation.
“We are deeply concerned that without adequate safeguards, these courses could become vehicles for one-sided political advocacy and activism that will both subvert the academic mission of the university, and incite bigotry and harm against some CSU students,” they wrote.
“It’s distressing that it took this long for the platform to crack down on these particular forms of hate when it’s quite obvious they should not have been allowed to proliferate in the first place,” said the ADL.
