The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission had recently launched an investigation into the California State University system for alleged mishandling of campus Jew-hatred.
After Concordia University closed its downtown Montreal campus over a planned pro-Hamas rally, rioters entered McGill University’s campus.
“Holding a vote that seeks to demonize the Jewish homeland on a day when Jewish students will not be able to participate is exclusionary, biased and flat-out wrong,” Maryland Hillel stated.
“Publicly funded universities are barred from discriminating based on race, national origin or religion,” a U.S. Justice Department official stated.
“They’ll be paying about $500 million, and they’ll be operating trade schools,” the president said. “Then their sins are forgiven.”
Harvard violated federal law “by acting with deliberate indifference toward discrimination and harassment against Jewish and Israeli students,” the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said.
A spokeswoman for the public university system told JNS that it will “fully cooperate” with the federal investigation.
