The Israeli premier endorsed Trump’s “new and revolutionary vision” for Gaza, rejecting a role for either Hamas or the P.A. in the Strip.
“We share in the family’s deep mourning. We will neither rest nor be silent until he is returned for burial in Israel,” said the Israeli premier.
“We must avoid at all costs resumption of hostilities in Gaza that would lead to immense tragedy,” said U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres.
“They are alive, and we must save them. We know what they are going through,” said Makabit Meyer, whose nephews Gali and Ziv have spent nearly 500 days in Hamas captivity.
His kibbutz announced his death, calling him the “beating heart of Kissufim.”
“If they don’t like Donald Trump’s plan, then it’s time for these countries in the region to step forward and offer their solution,” said the U.S. secretary of state.
She demanded of Israel’s government to save Alon. “They must do everything to bring Alon and everyone back home.”
The U.S. president stated a deadline of noon; otherwise, he says, “it’s going to be a different ball game.”

Spokesman Abu Obeida accused Israel of delaying the return of Gazans to the northern Gaza Strip, among other violations.
Cairo’s recent military buildup in the Sinai “requires clarification,” said Knesset member Ruth Wasserman Lande.
The Israeli military’s Arabic-language spokesman reiterated that under the terms of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, Gaza residents may not approach Israeli territory or forces.
