“The U.S. Attorney’s office is sending a clear message that hate crimes targeting Jews have serious consequences,” said attorney Gerard Filitti.

This Palestinian attitude raises doubts.”
A June 23 letter was signed by 189 national and local organizations, including 80 Jewish federations, network communities and Jewish Community Relations Councils.
An unknown individual scrawled the Nazi hate symbol on a signal box at a crosswalk in front of the school.
Sayed A. Quraishi, 23, faces a sentence that ranges from probation to five years in prison.
Bail was set at $30,000 for Logan Jones, 18, who was accused of assaulting a couple on their way to synagogue.
“The Buffalo shooting is a reminder that there is a dark undercurrent of extremism in the Empire State,” said Mitch Silber, executive director at the Community Security Initiative.
“Our job as adults is to share adequate information with children and to help them assimilate the information in terms they understand,” said Rabbi Dovid Fox.
The suspect threw the flammable items through the front gate of the Brotherhood Synagogue on Gramercy Park.
“We must all stand together to defeat the vile hatred of racism,” tweeted the Jewish Federations of North America. “Our hearts are with the victims and their families, and we mourn with the Buffalo community.”
Video points to the assailant as Saadah Masoud, who reportedly “has a history of violence and of physically assaulting Israel supporters.”
Reported incidents included several cases of assault and vandalism.
