Two Israel Defense Forces soldiers were injured in a Hezbollah rocket attack targeting the area of Kibbutz Manara on the Lebanese border, the military announced on Tuesday night.

The pair suffered light and moderate injuries, respectively, and were taken to a hospital for treatment. The IDF said it informed their families.

Also on Tuesday, a “suspicious aerial target” was shot down over Israeli territory in the border area by IDF air defenses.

“Throughout the day, several launches were detected from Lebanese territory towards Israeli territory,” tweeted the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, adding that troops attacked the sources of the fire with artillery.

In addition, Israel Air Force fighter jets struck Hezbollah terror infrastructure in Southern Lebanon, including in Aita as-Shaab, Mis al-Jabal, Al-Adisa, Naqoura and Kafr Kila.

Hezbollah has killed six civilians—five Israelis and an Indian worker—and 10 soldiers since it began its attacks on Oct. 8, the day after Hamas terrorists murdered some 1,200 people in southwestern Israel.

Hezbollah’s attacks are pushing Jerusalem towards a “critical point” in its decision-making process regarding a possible military operation in Southern Lebanon, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told White House envoy Amos Hochstein during a meeting earlier this month in Tel Aviv.

The Israeli government has promised that the roughly 80,000 evacuated citizens who live up to 5.5 miles from the northern border will not be asked to return home until Hezbollah is pushed back further into Lebanon.
