An official Ford Motor Company social media account briefly posted three anti-Israel messages to its 1.5 million followers and then quickly deleted the posts.
“Our X account was briefly compromised and the previous three posts were not authorized or posted by Ford,” Dan Barbossa, a Ford spokesman, told JNS. “We are investigating the issue.”
The since-deleted posts—all of which went up within five minutes—stated “free Palestine,” “Israel is a terrorist state” and “all eyes on Gaza.” Analytics on the social media platform X suggested that more than 100,000 users had viewed the three posts combined before they were deleted.
Dumisani Washington, founder and CEO of the Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel, wrote that “Nazi supporting founder Henry Ford would approve.”
