“Texas will always stand with the State of Israel and the Israeli people,” said Gov. Greg Abbott.
The U.S. president suggested he was opposed to Israel’s plans for “limited” ground operations against the Hezbollah terror organization.
Israelis also say the Biden administration seeks to undermine Israel’s war effort, support Trump over Harris by more than 50 points.
The lawmakers, all committee heads, said sanctions hold “violent extremists accountable for their actions.”
The two allies are readying a joint defense, including changes in American military posture in the Middle East region.
“The United States remains postured to protect U.S. forces and facilities in the region and committed to the defense of Israel,” said Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
“Anyone who has been calling for a ceasefire in the north is wrong. There is no going back for Israel,” Jared Kushner posted to X.
