An “anti-Israel, antisemitic smear campaign from extremists” targeted Rep. Josh Gottheimer, “because he is a strong supporter of the U.S.-Israel relationship and a vocal critic of Hamas terrorists,” the Jewish congressman’s spokesman told JNS.
The former U.S. president’s 2024 campaign denied the report, which it called “fake news.”
“Tlaib’s got her flag, I’ve got my uniform,” the congressman said.
The BDS-supporting legislator now calls the attacks by Hamas on Israeli civilians “war crimes.”
“The Israeli government can’t keep 2 million trapped in an open air prison in Gaza and not expect resistance,” wrote the co-founder of Code Pink.
FBI director Christopher Wray told Jewish communal leaders that his agency is “working to confirm if there is any validity to the call.”
