“Your humiliation will be recorded in history,” IRGC Commander Brig.-Gen. Ahmad Vahidi warned the United States.
Tehran “won’t have a nuclear weapon,” Trump stressed.
Four Republicans voted with nearly every Democrat to discharge the war powers resolution calling for U.S. President Donald Trump to withdraw American forces from hostilities with Iran.
“At their core, sanctions are not acts of aggression,” Scott Bessent said at an annual terrorism funding conference. “They are instruments of peace.”
Washington launched the maritime operation on April 13.
Trump said Gulf states urged a brief delay of planned U.S. military action by “two or three days,” citing progress toward a deal to keep nuclear weapons out of Tehran’s hands.
“Serious negotiations are now taking place,” the U.S. president said, adding that the U.S. military remains prepared to launch a “full, large-scale assault” if talks fail.
