Abraham Accords: How peace was achieved and could be achieved again

An EMET webinar with Jason Greenblatt

What was the secret behind achieving peace with the Abraham Accords? Why is the Biden administration not prioritizing new accords? And what could be done to push the success of the existing accords even further? Last week, EMET discussed these questions with former White House Special Envoy to the Middle East Jason Greenblatt. Greenblatt also shared his perspective of what has been happening between the United States and Iran, and the emergence of a new axis between Teheran, Russia and China.

About the speaker:

Jason Greenblatt was appointed by President Trump in 2017 as an Assistant to the President and Special Representative for International Negotiations. In his role as the White House Special Envoy to the Middle East, Greenblatt served as one of the chief architects of the Peace to Prosperity Plan between Israel and the Palestinians and between Israel and its Arab neighbors. He was also a key player in building the foundation for the Abraham Accords, through which the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Sudan and the Kingdom of Morocco have normalized relations with Israel. Greenblatt is the author of the book “In the path of Abraham.”
