The archive features a copy of practically every film shot in Israel, including feature films, documentaries, newsreels and home movies.
“I think it’s hard to humanize the people on the other side for some people, and I think that’s what the show has done. It kind of opened a window to a way there,” said actor Rona-Lee Shim’on.
He wrote the title track to the Tom Hanks 1996 film “That Thing You Do!”
Under the leadership of Tom Cohen, the musicians played a new piece called “Darbuka La Corona.”
On its daily blog, the museum will post an activity geared to a variety of ages that guide children in exploring Jewish heritage, family history and human connection, among other topics.
