The flights included those hailing from 14 states and three Canadian provinces, ranging from young students to retirees.

The majority of the new arrivals hailed from New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Illinois and California.
The permanent space will provide support to new immigrants in the areas of employment, education and housing, and offer Hebrew classes, exhibits and performances.
Applications for aliyah in the spring of the coronavirus are breaking records, as Jews in the Diaspora see Israel as a safe haven.
Nefesh B’Nefesh reports an all-time high in new requests with more than 800 households applying to move to Israel in the next few months.
The new arrivals, from a year-old baby to a 66-year-old, hail from New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Florida and Illinois.
The new recruits come from America, Canada, Russia, France, Australia, Latin America, Ukraine, England, South Africa, Thailand, Germany, Italy, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, India, Georgia, Sweden, Holland, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Holland, Bulgaria and Kazakhstan.
The 2020 winners were chosen in the following categories: science and medicine; community and nonprofit; education; global impact; culture, art and sports; and young leadership.
The two-dozen individuals will move directly into quarantine for 14 days in cities across Israel.
“We decided to use the best technological and digital tools available to provide potential ‘olim’ with all of the same, necessary information,” said Rabbi Yehoshua Fass of Nefesh B’Nefesh.
Instead, it will offer broadcast presentations on resources for families, young professionals, singles and retirees looking to make aliyah.
