Trump signals major Middle East policy shift as four more Israeli hostages are freed

“Jerusalem Minute” with Middle East correspondent Josh Hasten, Ep. 54

Israel welcomed four more hostages home on Jan. 25 who had been held captive in the Gaza Strip since the Hamas-led massacre in southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. However, the Palestinian terrorist group has yet to release the remaining civilian hostages.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has floated major policy shifts regarding Iran and the future of Gaza while releasing weapons that were purchased by Jerusalem but withheld under the Biden administration.

Also on this episode, JNS CEO and Jerusalem bureau chief Alex Traiman and Middle East correspondent Josh Hasten examine developments in Southern Lebanon; UNWRA’s eviction from Jerusalem; U.S. Mideast envoy Steve Witkoff’s odd love of Qatar; and the resignation of Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi.
