Campus Antisemitism

“Every employee deserves an environment free from harassment tied to their faith or Jewish identity,” the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said.
Rep. Tim Walberg told JNS that “it’s clear that foreign nations are working to smuggle antisemitism and divisive ideologies into our K-12 schools.”
Jew-hatred activists “turned campuses into battlegrounds after Oct. 7, while schools “stood by or actively joined the chaos,” Linda McMahon said.
“The Pandora’s box of antisemitism has been opened,” Hanna Veiler, president of the European Union of Jewish Students, told JNS ahead of a conference on academic antisemitism at the European Parliament.
“We certainly cannot do it by throwing stones from glass houses,” said Democratic Rep. James R. Walkinshaw.
According to the plaintiff’s filing in U.S. district court, the Ivy League school kept lists of Jewish students who were “peaceful” and “protesters” and barred the latter from the November 2023 event.
“This is the accountability boost universities need to guard against foreign influence and protect U.S. research,” said Craig Singleton, of FDD.
The competition run by Tel Aviv University in partnership with Brandeis University is open to Hebrew learners aged 12–18 around the world.
“Today’s settlement marks another victory in the Trump Administration’s fight to ensure that American educational institutions protect Jewish students and put merit first,” stated Pam Bondi, the U.S. attorney general.
The lawsuit alleges that William Jackson never called law enforcement when a Jewish student was barricaded in a classroom, with an angry mob of 20 students banging on the door.
A university spokesman told JNS that the resolution from the union, which is a separate entity, doesn’t reflect Cornell’s views.
Wendy Raymond said she will step down in 2027. The college faces a federal probe over its handling of Jew-hatred.
