Greta’s ‘selfie yacht’: Clout chasing or aid attempt?

WATCH: “The Quad” with Fleur Hassan-Nahoum and guest Joseph Cohen

This episode of “The Quad” will dismantle Greta Thunberg’s “selfie yacht” and expose it as a farcical public-relations stunt aimed not at helping Gazans, but at gaining more Instagram followers.

Israeli innovation envoy Fleur Hassan-Nahoum is joined by a powerhouse panel that includes journalist and human-rights activist Emily Schrader, founder of Chochmat Nashim Shoshanna Keats-Jaskoll, and, for the first time, Joseph Cohen, U.K.-born founder of the Israel Advocacy Movement.

The show opens with the absurdity of Greta and her crew being warmly received by the Israeli Defense Forces—fed pastrami sandwiches, given bottled water and safely escorted to Ashdod port—while media falsely label them as being “kidnapped,” even hostages. The panel compares such moral narcissism to the deadly silence about real global atrocities—from genocide in Sudan to Boko Haram’s victims—and notes the staggering contrast in how Israel versus Egypt handle border violations.

Schrader notes that the yacht was carrying 100 kilograms (about 220 pounds) of flour. A truck from Israel hauls 20 tons of humanitarian aid.

Cohen then shares a chilling firsthand account of online antisemitic threats and explains how legal pressure, including counter-terror investigations, can help turn the tide against Jew-hatred. The group also tackles media disinformation—from Hamas operatives disguised as journalists to the Western press’s blind trust in Hamas over the IDF.

“The IDF will act to remove threats to the residents of the State of Israel,” said the military.
The terror group “continues to operate in a manner that endangers international forces and harms U.N. personnel operating in the area,” the IDF said.
IDF says more than 70 sites hit in 24 hours, including missile launchers, UAV facilities and air defense systems.
“IDF troops in the Southern Command remain deployed in accordance with the ceasefire agreement,” the military said.
The Israeli defense minister said the IDF would control the area of Southern Lebanon up to the Litani River.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog highlighted concerns over the safety and security of Christian communities in the Middle East.
