Washington accused Moscow of operating in bad faith in a draft that didn’t recognize Israeli self-defense, and Russia and China demanded a ceasefire.

Yad Vashem blasted Secretary-General António Guterres, saying that he “failed the test” to uphold “Never Again.”
“If we do not get fuel urgently, we will be forced to halt our operations in the Gaza Strip as of tomorrow night,” the U.N. agency wrote in a post that has been deleted.
“Mr. Secretary-General, in what world do you live?” said Foreign Minister Eli Cohen.
The foreign minister will speak about the Hamas atrocities of Oct. 7 at the Security Council.
The first delivery is expected to take place “in the next day or so,” according to the U.N.
“The people with guns inside Gaza are Hamas, and so Hamas may try to divert this assistance and keep it from getting to the civilians who it is intended for,” a U.S. State Department spokesman said. “We think that’s a legitimate concern.”
“The council needs to get this right,” said U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
“It is imperative that all states continue to take steps to counter Iran’s destabilizing ballistic missile-related activities through ongoing counterproliferation cooperation,” said the U.S. State Department.
Israel’s U.N. envoy: “The only ones shooting indiscriminate missiles at civilians are the Palestinians.”
